THE BAKHITA STORY

OUR BRIEF HISTORY

St. Bakhita Elite School was established back in the year 2014. The school started with two children and was known as St. Josephine Bakhita Kindergarten and School. The name was later changed to St. Bakhita Elite school in 2015 in the year 2014, the kindergarten section implemented the 8-4-4 curriculum, however after a study done by the school in the year 2014/15, The school decided to intro-duce the Montessori curriculum to fill in the gaps that were there in the 8-4-4 curriculum. The Montessori Curriculum is an innovative learning framework that incorporates specific learning outcomes and knowledge skills that align with children's developmental needs and interests Besides Art, Music, taekwondo, Ballet, skating and swimming lessons were also incorporated in the system to complement the curriculum. Through the above, the school has been able to identify and nature different talents in our learners. Job Orare, a STD. 4 pupil, is one of the great talents we have been able to nature and now he is among the best in playing the piano. We remain committed to producing all rounded and wholistic students who are ready to conquer the world. The school population has also shown steady growth over the years as shown on the graph, the steady growth is attributed to the commitment and hard work among the school staff, directors and the PTC. The PTC has worked together with the school administration to set policies and standards that have set us apart from the rest since its formation in 2017. Despite the growth, we still maintain our PROMISE of having a teacher to pupil ratio of 1:15. The primary section began in 2017 with 4 students and 3 teachers, to date the section has 27 pupils and 5 teachers
The section offers competency-based curriculum and is fully committed to the implementation of the same in a special way.

Director Joseph

Director Joseph

Director

He is very passionate about education and an advocate for the least fortunate in society. Appointed by former Safaricom CEO, Michael Joseph to serve as a committee member of Usamaria Sponsorship Fund in the CEO's office, working under Safaricom Foundation. Mr. Kibwot was given the role of assisting the most unfortunate in the society and its subjects across the country that could not afford basic education in government schools for a period of ten years between April 2005 – to November 2015. Through the ten years, Mr. Kibwott had desired the experience to continue supporting basic education beyond Safaricom Foundation Education Committee. Since he was deeply inspired by the enormous support our modern society lacked and needed in education; where the brilliant child could not afford decent education and related facilities. Mr. Kibwott thought to invest in a small education center like what Nobel Prize winner Professor Maathai talked of little bird helping out to stop a forest fire to conserve the environment for future generations. Mr. Kibwott thought of offering high-value education accessed by the rich children in Westland's, Karen, Lavington, e.t.c at a 10% cost of the high-cost schools being extended in Utawala-Embakasi through St. Bakhita Elite School. He says, " it makes me feel obliged by Almighty God to continue seeing the success of young talents nurtured through the work of my hand, God uses me as a vessel for these children."

Primary years are such a special and important time in our lives we hope to create some very special memories during the time your child spends with us. At St. Bakhita Elite School, learning takes place through play. Teachers tune into your child and support their learning through well planned, stimulating and exciting activities in a safe learning environment. We aim to create a real love of learning, which will last with your child forever. We believe the success of your child's education is very much a partnership between home and school. When your child starts a playgroup, it is not where your job ends and ours begins. It is where our job begins and yours continues. Children come to pre-primary with such a wealth of experience and knowledge. We aim to build on this together, with parents to ensure that every child, no matter what ability or background really does get the best start to Education
